Some Takeaways From The MediaTek 2026 Analyst Event

Last week Signals Research Group (SRG) attended the MediaTek Analyst event in San Francisco. Phoenix, AZ. The event brought together analysts from North America, Asia and Europe along with a host of executives from MediaTek.

Pillars of Growth and Marketing. MediaTek may get most of its revenue from mobile, but its self-declared growth pillars are Edge AI, Agentic AI, and Cloud AI. Note the AI centric theme? Also, there was some rebranding of its Dimensity portfolio, not to mention a seemly new emphasis on the importance of branding in general.

And In This Corner. On the mobile side of the house, much of the focus was on the non-smartphone business opportunities, including FWA and Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 8), and driven by the T930 chipset.
